Yes, it seems that the Hermman Park Golf Course in Houston became an impromptu runway earlier this week when a pilot en route from Lafayette, La., had to make an emergency landing.
The pilot indicated that a gauge problem led him to think he had more gas in the tank than he really did, which can be a headache if you're commuting to work but a real problem when you're thousands of feet in the air. The plane's engine began sputtering at about 2,000 feet, and the pilot, thinking fast, decided to put the plane down on the golf course.
He was penalized two strokes for flying into the group ahead of him, but I think he can live with that.

So you're out for a little weekday golf, a quiet afternoon on the links, when all of a sudden out of the corner of your eye, you see HOLY HEAVEN THAT'S A PLANE OH MY GOD DID I KNOCK IT OUT OF THE SKY?
