USGA Licensing
Compliant golf clubs on GolfQ.com are licensed directly by the USGA and appear on http://www.usga.org in their authorized club database. Each compliant club on this site will link to it's official listing on http://www.usga.org

If you have a Handicap Index on this site, then your handicap is licensed and recognized with the USGA.

GHIN
GolfQ.com does not participate in the GHIN computation service. GHIN is a different handicap system used by some regional golf associations. GolfQ.com clubs are licensed directly by the USGA and use the GolfNet handicap network. GolfNet and GHIN are not the same handicap service, but both are USGA compliant. The official USGA Handicap you receive on GolfQ.com will not be found on the GHIN Network.

Golf Tournaments
Tournaments often ask for a GHIN number because the GHIN system enables golfers, who are members of a regional association, lookup each other's handicap, or enter scores from a course computer.

Tournaments or other relevant bodies can verify an official club status on http://www.usga.org and can use the GolfQ.com Handicap Lookup to confirm a member's index.

If the tournament has any further questions, they are welcome to contact us directly.

What Our Members Say
"I was invited to the member-guest tournament at my friend's country club and I didn't realize an official USGA handicap index was required for all participants. Thanks for being a last minute life saver."
   -D. Barret, Orlando, FL

"I used to maintain my handicap at a course I rarely play. I didn't realize how much they were over-charging me."
   -S. Jackson, Palo Alto, CA

"Thank you for finally syncing your stat tracking with my Golf Canada membership. Your scoring reports have really helped me see the parts of my game I need to improve most."
   -G. Edmonton, Vancouver, BC, Canada

"I was using another site to calculate my handicap but was turned away from a tournament because it wasn't actually USGA official. It's nice that all of your clubs link directly to the USGA's website for verification. You should do a better job at educating golfers as to what makes a handicap official or not."
